Dr. Robert J. Reynolds
Dr. Robert J. Reynolds holds a PhD in Workforce Education and Development from the
University of Pennsylvania and has spent his career navigating workforce development,
institutional capacity, and political economy. He began his academic journey at the
University of Pittsburgh while working in the family business exporting industrial control
systems for steel mills, where he encountered UN sanctions, learning that business and
politics are complementary in nature. That intrinsic understanding carried him into
community organizing, refugee outreach, and international consulting. In Sudan, he worked with the
Development Studies & Research Institute, training national NGOs under the government's
Humanitarian Aid Commission, and this work influenced his PhD research, which reconceptualizes
organizational change.
